Order of Hands |
The descending order of poker hand values is as follows:
1. Royal Flush - Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10 of the same suit.
2. Straight Flush - Any 5 cards from the same suit in sequence.
3. Four of a Kind - 4 cards of the same value.
4. Full House - 3 cards of the same value combined with a pair of the same value.
5. Flush - 5 cards of the same suit.
6. Straight - 5 cards in numerical sequence.
7. Three of a Kind - 3 cards of the same value.
8. Two Pairs - 2 sets of 2 cards of the same value.
9. One Pair - 2 cards of the same value.
10. No Pair - 5 cards of any value which do not constitute any of the above.
In games where a reduced deck is in play (less than 52 cards) the above order of hands shall apply with the exception of a Flush, which becomes superior to a Full House. Please note the Ace can be used as a low card in a straight regardless of deck size (except in all Manila games) eg, in a deck containing only 7,8,9,10,J,Q,K,A. The Ace may be used as a 6.
