Exclusion Options
To help manage your gambling exclusion is available under the Gambling Act 2003. Exclusion from the Casino simply means you’re taking time out and there are two options available:
• Self Initiated Exclusion
• Third Party Initiated Exclusion
Conditions
It’s important for the excluded person to understand that we will help to ensure they are refused entry to the Casino in all circumstances. The only time they can return is once the re-entry criteria have been met and the exclusion period has ended.
Re-Entry
The re-entry criteria is a simple three step process:
1. No breaches of the exclusion in the last 12 months
2. Verification that counselling was completed with a problem gambling counsellor
3. Re-entry meeting held with Christchurch Casino
Self Initiated Exclusion
Self exclusion is when a customer voluntarily identifies themselves as needing time away from the Casino. People exclude for various reasons including those who feel they may have a gambling related problem.
A self identified exclusion is for a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 2 years.
Third Party Initiated Exclusion
This process is often initiated by a concerned third party like a family member, business partner, friend or even a Casino employee.

A Host Responsibility employee or Security Shift Manager will walk you through this process, they are respectful and confidential and if required can provide a translator. We can also arrange FREE professional confidential support and counselling for you and your family.

In the case of a third party identified exclusion, the Casino will generally impose a 2 year exclusion.
